Enneagram Trifixes & MBTI Type Correlations

This MBTI/Enneagram overview is based on my typings of celebrities and clients or other people in real life, as well as my understanding of the Enneagram and Jungian types’ traits, and how they interact.

Fictional characters may have Trifixes which cannot be found amongst “real” people “in real life”, and hence are not part of this overview.

For the Main type correlations, read this article.

Read this for more info about the 9 Enneagram types specifically.

Read this for differentiating common MBTI mistypes.

Note: The first number of the trifixes matter for the MBTI types, but the other two are reversible and depend on the individual. For example, an INTP can be 539 or 593, but not 359.

    • 8 is simply too outwardly assertive, aggressive/gutsy and characterized by extroversion and/or Se or Te, both of which are too weak in the INFJ. You could make a case for 1 fix, though it appears to be too closely connected to Te (and Fi valuing), ENFJ being an exception as an Fe lead type, intuitive with “Te Role” (if you go by Socionics), but tbf this could be debatable.

      • Right, but you’re talking about fixes and not core tyes so it’s not about the trait structure but how they deal with emotions. Or at least that’s my understanding of trifixes.

      • How they deal with emotions and their trait structure go hand in hand, they cannot be too opposed to each other. Otherwise they cancel each other out.
